Hypertension Morning Pressure - Danger Zone

Before my Cure, Hypertension Morning Pressure was my most serious concern – during the morning, my Blood Pressure was the highest of all my daily readings –

Between 6 AM and Noon, blood pressure is usually elevated in many individuals - one reason given - is due to the human body's Circadian Rhythms -

these are physical, mental and behavioral changes that happen in a 24-hour cycle - responding to light and darkness - that effect our sleep/wake pattern -

my sleep pattern definitely had an effect on my morning blood pressure - it was lower when I had a good sleep's than when my sleep was not so good.

Doctor's Approach To My Morning Pressure

When I was on medication, my doctor tried to deal with my Hypertension Morning Pressure by changing the scheduling of my medication from evening to at least 2 hours before taking my morning blood pressure reading -

I would take my medication about 6AM and my blood pressure reading at 8AM - this change from evening to morning, lowered my morning Pressure and my Pulse Rate:

  • Average Morning Pressure: 135/75 to 145/85 -
  • Average Pulse Rate: 60.

Before this change of scheduling, I had been taking my medication in the evening at 8:00 o'clock:

  • Average Morning pressure: 150/90 to 160/100 -
  • Average Morning Pulse Rate: 65.
Mornings On My Own

After I stopped taking medication, I had to deal with Hypertension Morning Pressure on my own - I relied totally on my personal program that is on this website.

The first few months without medication I noticed that my morning pressure was constantly higher than when I was on medication - I had been WARNED that if I suddenly stopped taking my medication (Atenolol)-

that I might experience some extreme conditions - I did actually experience much higher morning pressures and also afternoon and evening pressure readings were much higher.

Fear or Faith

But I knew that if I faithfully followed my personal program as outlined on this Website, I would keep my Morning Blood Pressure out of the Danger Zone - and would lower the afternoon and evening pressure readings as well.

There were times when I looked at my high readings and would think that maybe I should go back to medication - that was Fear challenging my Faith -

but realizing that I did not have a spirit of Fear but a Spirit of Faith which will prevail every time - I threw the idea of medication out of my mind.

Night Before - Morning After

There were some things going on at night that I needed to checkout - the difference between my blood pressure before going to bed and my Hypertension Morning Pressure getting out of bed - it looked something like this:

  1. Night Before - On 10/26/2010 @ 8:10PM:
    • Systolic - 121
    • Diastolic - 75
    • Pulse Rate - 76

  2. Morning After - On 10/27/2010 @ 9:10AM:
    • Systolic - 147
    • Diastolic - 90
    • Pulse Rate - 69.
You Can Expect Changes

There were days when both Nights and Mornings Readings were Higher then Lower, alternately.

There are many factors known and unknown that constantly change the blood pressure readings - in fact, I have checked my pressure at intervals of one minute - 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 minutes -

I saw changes that made me wonder what in the world was happening - I was able to discover some direct affects on some readings - examples:

  • One minute between blood pressure readings - can give a different reading -
  • Sometime, it takes Five to Ten minutes after a phone conversation for my pressure to recover -
  • Thirty to Forty minutes after eating a meal is my average recovery time.

I have noticed that all of the activities of my Senses, External and Internal Environments can determine my blood pressure at any moment - the time it takes for my blood pressure to recover, depends on the particular influencing activity.

I have a page that talks about - Environment
